Woke up to a very rainy day! It was about 45, windy and rainy. I had to go to the post office to mail something so I got to explore some more of the town. I had to cross the Blanda river via bridge and got a great view of it flowing into the sea.

Met some hairy locals, but they weren’t interested in me. I love little differences you see when you travel. I’ve added a cute cross-walk sign that is located near a playground and a fun recycling bin. I have the urge to yarn-bomb it!

Did some serious time in the studio. I was able to get 7 hours in. With that time, Medusa got some serious tail skin. I crochet most of her back scales (vertebral) and pinned it on for a visual. Then I began to create her underbelly (ventral scales) which is a bright gold. And yes! She is venomous, of course! It was a lot of monotonous crocheting to get the mass area complete, but that’s why fast, fun music is so helpful.

By the end of the day, the rain subsided and we got a little peak of sun. The light changes here every second. So far, I’ve seen all shades of blue, silver, gold, pink, and fiery orange.

Music: Today I listened to Madonna and ABBA!

  1. No matter the weather all the pics of the scenery are breath taking. You are really making progress on Medusa. Anxious to see her head come alive. HaHa

    1. Lol me too!
Her head will be the last to do. Ugh.
But I hope to have her tail completed over the next few days. Then on to the torso!
